Heavy Truck Mechanic
Grand Rapids, MI 49534

We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work. This position focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while working closely with our drivers and operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled services
• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, air and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot engine and emissions issues
• Perform oil changes, lubrication and inspections
• Identify problems before they cause breakdowns
• Respond to driver-reported mechanical issues
• Maintain basic service and repair records
• Keep the shop and work area organized
• Coordinate outside repairs when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working on Class 8 heavy-duty trucks
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with diesel engines, air brakes and truck electrical systems
• Able to work independently and prioritize repairs
• Dependable and safety-minded
• Valid driver's license
• CDL and certifications are a plus, but not required
