About the Role:
Sullivan Hauling is looking for a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team in New Oxford, PA! If you're passionate about keeping big rigs running at peak performance and take pride in quality work, this is your opportunity to be a vital part of a hardworking crew that keeps operations moving.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and fleet vehicles
Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components
Inspect and repair hydraulic systems, suspension, and steering components
Conduct DOT inspection readiness checks and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards
Document all maintenance and repair work accurately in service records
Identify parts needs and coordinate with management for timely procurement
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a heavy truck or diesel mechanic
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing Class 6-8 trucks and diesel engines
Experience with DOT regulations and commercial vehicle inspection standards
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software for modern truck systems
Must supply own hand tools; specialty tools provided
CDL preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team player
