Maintenance Technician — Work in the Fresh Air

RAC Sales and Service is expanding its team of Shopping Cart Maintenance Technicians and Helpers.

If you are mechanically inclined, comfortable using tools, and enjoy repairing things, this could be an excellent opportunity to begin a new career. Experience repairing shopping carts is not required. We provide hands-on training for dependable candidates from a variety of backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on shopping carts and other rolling grocery-store equipment
• Inspect equipment and replace worn or damaged components
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Work closely with another technician as part of a two-person service crew
• Communicate professionally with store managers and department employees
• Deliver dependable, first-rate service to our customers

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools
• Willingness and ability to work outside in changing weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to our Salisbury, NC, location
• Smartphone with voice and data service for communication with field management
• Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person crew
• Willingness to travel throughout North Carolina to service customers
• Availability for overnight travel, which may account for up to 30% of the year
• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and professional attitude
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the day

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Typical workweek: Monday through Thursday
• Occasional overtime or schedule changes may be required based on customer needs
