Robert Half is seeking a Test Lead to support application quality and testing efforts across a core application and related AI platform. This role will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, identifying application issues, validating functionality, and partnering with developers and stakeholders to ensure the application meets intended requirements and user workflows. Location: Hybrid, Remote primary

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 to 5 pm PST

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute quality test plans, test strategies, and test passes for the application.
• Perform hands-on manual testing to validate application functionality and user workflows.
• Identify application instability, bugs, and functional gaps; document findings and provide clear feedback to developers.
• Test the application and supporting AI platform, including MCP connectors, installation processes, and build servers .
• Research application functionality and intended user workflows, then compare expected behavior against what was actually built.
• Interview stakeholders and technical resources to understand application usage, requirements, and testing needs.
• Review existing documentation and configuration to identify potential issues and testing gaps.
• Write test scripts from scratch, modify existing test scripts, and validate test results.
• Develop and execute testing strategies based on stakeholder requirements and application functionality.
• Coordinate bug reporting and defect tracking throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Draft testing specifications and requirements to support developers with remediation and application improvements.
• Work independently to troubleshoot issues, identify gaps, and determine areas requiring additional testing.
• Document test results, defects, validation findings, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing manual application testing .
• Experience writing test scripts from scratch, modifying existing scripts, and validating test results.
• Experience developing and executing test strategies and test plans .
• Strong application testing and validation experience.
• Experience working directly with stakeholders to understand application usage and requirements.
• Strong documentation skills, including documenting defects, test results, requirements, and testing specifications.
• Ability to independently identify testing gaps, troubleshoot issues, and determine appropriate testing approaches.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing AI-enabled applications or AI platforms.
• Familiarity with MCP connectors , installation processes, or build servers.
• Experience conducting application configuration reviews.
• Experience working in an environment where requirements and intended user workflows may need to be uncovered through research and stakeholder interviews.
