About the Role
The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director of Emergency Medicine to provide strategic and operational leadership for its emergency medicine services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the emergency department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and managing a large multidisciplinary team. This role requires a leader who is collaborative, confident, and adaptable, with a strong focus on interpersonal and relationship-building skills. The Interim Executive Director will also be expected to participate in an on-call rotation and must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Applicants for the Interim Executive Director position must have an MSN and an active Iowa RN or compact RN license. A minimum of five years' interim leadership experience, along with Level I Trauma experience, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing needs. Excellent communication skills are critical for this role, as is the ability to support departmental performance and ensure the effective management of emergency medicine operations within a large, complex healthcare setting.
